JOB OVERVIEW

US-based accounting firm is seeking 3 full-time permanent Bookkeeper / Staff Accountants who are self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment. Must be reliable, accurate, and quick learners with a positive attitude.

Must be able to work Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00 PST (Pacific Standard Time)

Qualifications:

· Ability to prioritize and multitask
· Strong organizational skills
· Deadline and detail-oriented
· Fundamental knowledge of GAAP preferred
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
· Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting, finance, or other related fields preferred
· Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas preferred
· Education in Accounting
· Past work experience in accounting role, 3+ years
· Payroll processing knowledge of tax withholding and journal entries
· High proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop for Accountants and/or QBO
· Effective verbal and written communication skills
· Problem solving - critical thinking and ability to analyze information
· Microsoft Office - intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
· Independent - able to work with minimal supervision after training
· Dependability - consistently at work and on time

The candidate must have the ability to prioritize based on company objectives and to manage tasks independently. Office environment is small and casual with a team-oriented culture. The candidate for this position is personable and service-oriented, and at the same time has a "no-nonsense" focus on getting the job done. This individual has an exceptional work ethic and is subject to a background check, to include drug screening.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Bookkeeping / Full cycle
· Journal Entries
· Monthly Account Reconciliation
· Generate reports as needed
· Administrative functions
· Obtain primary financial data for accounting records
· Compute and record numerical data
· Check the accuracy of business transactions
· Perform data entry and administrative duties
· Maintain records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.
· Develop systems to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
· Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
· Balance subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
· Maintain general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
· Balance general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
· Maintain historical records by filing documents.
· Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
· Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying & enforcing adherence to requirements;
· Filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
· Other accounting duties as assigned.
