Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Part-Time Bookkeeper with experience in eCommerce accounting to support our growing client base. This role will focus on maintaining accurate financial records, enhancing KPI reporting, and managing bill pay processes. The ideal candidate should have experience with eCommerce platforms, cloud-based accounting software, and financial reporting tools.
Key Responsibilities

Ecommerce Bookkeeping:
Reconcile transactions from platforms like Shopify, Amazon, Etsy, and Walmart.
Categorize sales, fees, chargebacks, and refunds accurately.
Ensure sales tax compliance and proper reporting.

Customized KPI Reporting:
Develop and refine financial reports with actionable insights for eCommerce clients.
Track metrics such as gross profit margins, ad spend efficiency, and inventory turnover.
Use tools like QuickBooks, Xero, and Google Sheets to create automated reporting dashboards.

Bill Pay & Accounts Payable:
Manage vendor payments using Bill.com or similar platforms.
Reconcile accounts payable and ensure timely payments.
Maintain an organized record of invoices and receipts.

General Bookkeeping Tasks:
Perform monthly reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts.
Ensure accurate categorization of expenses.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience in eCommerce bookkeeping (Shopify, Amazon, Etsy, etc.).
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Xero, A2X, Bill.com, and Google Sheets.
Strong understanding of inventory accounting and cost of goods sold (COGS).
Experience creating custom KPI reports and dashboards.
Familiarity with third-party payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, Square, etc.).
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with eCommerce business owners.
Knowledge of sales tax compliance and automation tools (TaxJar, Avalara, etc.).
Prior experience with automating financial reporting.
