Job Overview
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing WeldConnect’s financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and analyzing data to support the company’s financial health. This role requires proficiency in Excel, data analytics, and the ability to translate numerical data into visual presentations for business decision-making. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to identify trends and insights to optimize business processes.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Record Management:
• Record all financial transactions, including income, expenses, and payroll.
• Reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for review by the leadership team.
Data Analytics and Reporting:
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
• Generate financial forecasts and projections to guide business planning.
• Compile and organize data into clear, visual presentations using tools like Excel, PowerPoint, or other visualization platforms.
• Provide actionable insights to implement business solutions and improve financial performance.
Budgeting and Expense Tracking:
• Track and categorize expenses to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
• Work closely with management to develop and monitor budgets for specific projects or departments.
• Identify discrepancies and provide recommendations to optimize resource allocation.
Collaboration and Communication:
• Collaborate with other tea
• Present financial data and insights to non-financial stakeholders in an understandable and actionable format.
• Support management in preparing materials for presentations to clients or leadership.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
1. Data Accuracy Rate:
Maintain a 99?curacy rate in financial records and reports through consistent auditing and review.
2. Report Timeliness:
Deliver financial reports within 2 days of the reporting period’s end (monthly, quarterly, annually).
3. Visual Presentation Quality:
Ensure that 95% of visual presentations meet clarity and functionality standards for decision-making.
4. Expense Tracking Compliance:
Ensure 100?herence to budgetary guidelines by identifying and resolving discrepancies.
5. Data Analysis Impact:
Provide actionable insights that result in a minimum of 10% cost savings or revenue growth each quarter.
6. Collaboration Score:
Achieve a 90% positive feedback rate from tea
SMART Goals
1. Maintain Financial Integrity:
Accurately reconcile all accounts within 2 days of the close of each financial period, achieving a 99?curacy rate in all financial records.
2. Enhance Data Presentation:
Develop and implement five (5) new visual dashboards or presentation templates within the first 90 days to improve data clarity for stakeholders.
3. Optimize Budget Processes:
Identify at least three (3) opportunities for cost savings or process improvement within the first six months through detailed expense tracking and analysis.
4. Timely Reporting:
Deliver 100% of required financial and operational reports on time for six consecutive months to establish reliability.
5. Team Collaboration:
Work with cross-functional teams to integrate financial insights into at least two (2) business solutions or strategies within the first six months.
Skills and Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a similar role.
• Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data visualization.
Experience with data analytics tools and software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
Analytical Abilities:
Strong ability to analyze data and provide insights that drive business decisions.
Experience creating visual dashboards or presentations for financial and operational metrics.
Organizational Skills:
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present data to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
