The objective of this job:
The objective of this role is to ensure accurate and efficient management of financial records in compliance with US GAAP accounting standards. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for performing thorough bank and credit card reconciliations, maintaining precise records using QuickBooks Online, and leveraging intermediate Excel skills to update and manage financial workbooks. Through meticulous attention to detail and expertise in bookkeeping practices, the Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in maintaining the organization’s financial integrity.
Responsibilities:
• Perform accounting data entry tasks with precision and efficiency.
• Records financial transactions, maintains accurate records, reconciles accounts (i.e.: bank and credit card reconciliations), and prepares financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP accounting standards, including understanding debits and credits.
• Update and maintain basic Excel workbooks for financial reporting purposes.
• Payroll Processing.
Required skills and qualifications:
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) principles, including debits and credits.
• Knowledgeable in Cash and Accrual Accounting
• Strong foundation in bookkeeping principles and practices, including transaction recording, recordkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proactive, not afraid to ask questions, maintains a can-do spirit and a willingness to tackle challenges
• Uphold confidentiality in all tasks and communications.
• Intermediate MS Excel skills.
