We're seeking a detail-oriented Billing Manager to oversee our chargeback management process and protect our company's revenue through effective dispute resolution. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to build compelling cases to combat fraudulent claims while maintaining positive customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and respond to all incoming chargebacks across multiple payment processors
Gather comprehensive evidence including transaction data, customer communications, service delivery proof, and relevant documentation
Prepare and submit compelling dispute responses within required timeframes
Track dispute outcomes and maintain detailed records of all cases and their resolutions
Analyze chargeback patterns to identify potential fraud trends and recommend preventive measures
Collaborate with customer support team to gather necessary information for dispute cases
Maintain relationships with payment processors and stay current with their dispute policies
Develop and optimize internal processes for chargeback prevention and response
Required Qualifications:
2+ years experience in chargeback management or fraud prevention
Strong understanding of payment processing systems and dispute resolution procedures
Excellent analytical and investigative skills
Superior written communication abilities for crafting effective dispute responses
Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Experience with payment processors like Stripe, PayPal, or similar platforms
Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in e-commerce or SaaS billing environments
Experience handling chargeback defense submissions
Familiarity with payment processors
