The Role
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full-Time Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in the AV industry, with knowledge in systems and technologies such as Crestron, QSC, and other unified communication systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our projects by providing accurate and comprehensive estimates for AV installations and integrations.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and sales tea
Conduct thorough assessments of project scope, including equipment needs, labor requirements, and project timelines.
Utilise industry-specific software and tools to generate detailed cost estimates for AV installations and integrations.
Research and evaluate new technologies, products, and suppliers to ensure competitiveness and innovation in our estimates.
Communicate effectively with clients to present and explain estimates, address any questions or concerns, and negotiate terms as needed.
Maintain organized records of project estimates, including revisions and updates as projects progress.
Skills and Experience
Previous experience in the Audio Visual industry, with a focus on estimating or project management.
In-depth knowledge of AV systems and technologies, including Crestron & QSC.
Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools for estimating, such as Microsoft Excel, AV-specific software, and ERP systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to accurately assess project requirements and develop detailed estimates.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Detail-oriented and highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Flexibility to work part-time hours, with the potential for increased hours during peak periods or project deadlines.
