Assistant Property Model Algo Developer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Property Model Algo Developer to join our team. In this role, you will support the development, testing, and refinement of algorithmic models, playing a critical part in maintaining and enhancing model functionality. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, address both urgent and non-urgent issues, and ensure the seamless integration of models into production systems. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, a passion for problem-solving, and an eagerness to stay updated on algorithm development best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Model Development & Refinement

Contribute to the design, enhancement, and optimization of algorithmic models to align with project goals and data requirements.
Conduct rigorous testing to ensure performance, accuracy, and reliability of outputs.
Issue Resolution

Address high-priority algorithm-related issues (e.g., incorrect outputs, calculation errors, logic flaws) promptly to maintain functionality and data integrity.
Resolve non-urgent bugs and implement feature enhancements as part of ongoing model improvement.
Client Feedback & Collaboration

Investigate and resolve client-reported issues, ensuring clear communication and timely updates.
Collaborate with the Cost Seg team to process feedback, clarify suggestions, and implement approved modifications to algorithms.
Back-End Configurations & Deployment

Assist in large-scale updates across multiple organizations, such as updating depreciation methods to ensure consistent application.
Support the integration of algorithmic models into production environments for seamless operation.
Testing & Debugging

Perform functional tests on algorithms and debug issues to enhance model efficiency and reliability.
Identify and document software issues unrelated to algorithms but impacting overall system performance.
Standards & Research

Maintain algorithm standards by conducting regular reviews and applying improvements to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
Stay informed about advancements in algorithm development and incorporate best practices to enhance model performance.
Project Management Support

Assist in managing project tools like Asana, ensuring tasks are well-organized and progress is tracked effectively across teams.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Nice to have:
Familiarity with algorithm development, testing, and debugging processes.
Basic understanding of back-end configurations and deployment practices.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana) is a plus.
A keen interest in staying updated on the latest developments in algorithm design and data modeling.
