Accounting (Restaurant365 software?)

We are looking for someone to work with us on regular bookkeeping for our 5 restaurant locations.

This job really needs someone who understands the complexities of the restaurant business. We typically do not invoice or bill clients. We manage daily cash intake and allocate deposits to tax, sales (by category and item), or employee tips. Our bookkeeper will need to track multiple business loans, equipment additions, and leasehold improvements, and manage a rolling, complex AP open. You will need to reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements as well.

We are looking for weekly reports and summaries we can use to increase efficiencies, manage inventory, and make future projections. 5 to 8 hours per business per week (depending on the slow or busy season) would be a good estimate for starting, but this could require more time while learning the software, and less time later.

We are looking for someone to add value to our company by helping us find creative ways to increase profits. Understanding the restaurant business will be important!

We use a software called "Restaurant365" to manage our 5 locations. While we would love to hire someone versed in this software already, we are prepared to train the right candidate.

We are in the Eastern Standard Time zone. While much of this work can be done independently- we would require some weekly communication during our operating hours (M-F 8am to 4pm) and the initial training and start up would require a lot of work during those hours!
