JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for an Accounting Manager with strong financial forecasting and US tax experience to lead our accounting team. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented professional with a passion for accuracy, efficiency, and team leadership. You’ll be responsible for overseeing financial processes, reviewing team work, and ensuring deadlines and compliance standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:
30% Hands-On Accounting Work
Manage monthly QuickBooks reconciliation, ensuring financial accuracy.
Prepare and analyze financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
Reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and equity accounts.
Post and review journal entries with an understanding of financial impact.
Generate and interpret financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Statements).
Assist with US tax preparation and ensure compliance with tax regulations.

50% Leadership & Review
Review and approve work completed by accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Manage projects and ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and tax filings.
Conduct advanced calculations and provide technical accounting guidance to the team.
Oversee financial accuracy, categorization, and reconciliation of accounts.
Assist in process improvement by identifying inefficiencies and implementing best practices.

20% Ad Hoc Tasks
Support the team with Excel-based financial models and templates.
Assist in PowerPoint presentations for internal and client reporting.
Provide insights and solutions for financial and tax-related inquiries.

Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in financial management, accounting, or a related field.
Proficient in QuickBooks and financial reconciliation.
Strong knowledge of US accounting principles and tax regulations.
Experience in financial forecasting and analysis.
Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, large datasets, and templates).
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial data management.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Prior experience reviewing and managing staff work is a plus.
