Job Description: Part-Time Accounting Expert

Position Title: Part-Time Accounting Expert
Hours: Approximately 5 hours per week (20 hours per month)
Location: Remote, flexible location (availability required during night shift in the Philippines and U.S. time: Wednesday to Sunday, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM PT)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Expert to manage and oversee our accounting functions. This is not a clerical position but a leadership role requiring a deep understanding of accounting practices, invoicing for American public agencies, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will ensure 100?curacy, timeliness, and adherence to client and internal expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Invoicing for Public Agencies:
• Prepare and deliver detailed invoices in compliance with American public agency requirements.
• Accurately compute overhead, base rates, and billable rates for invoicing.
• Ensure invoices are error-free and submitted on or before deadlines.
• Reconciliation:
• Perform account reconciliations, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Profit and Loss Analysis per Client:
• Prepare profit and loss statements specific to each client.
• Monitor financial performance and provide insights to optimize profitability.
• Payroll Management:
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll for all employees and contractors.
• Accounting Oversight:
• Manage the accounting department and oversee all financial operations.
• Develop and maintain effective systems and processes for financial reporting.
• Timely Communication:
• Respond to inquiries and requests within one hour during designated work shifts.
• Maintain proactive communication to ensure smooth operations and reporting.
• Other Duties as Assigned:
• Support additional accounting and financial tasks as required.

Qualifications:
• Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably with exposure to public agency invoicing.
• Skills:
• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail with a track record of 100?curacy.
• Behavioral Competencies:
• Highly organized with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Proactive and responsive, with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Availability:
• Must be available during the specified hours and days (U.S. Pacific Time: Wednesday to Sunday, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM).

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
• Timeliness of invoice preparation and delivery.
• 100?curacy in reconciliations and financial reports.
• On-time payroll processing.
• Responsiveness to requests within one hour during designated shifts.

Compensation:
• Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications.
