POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with robust bookkeeping expertise and exceptional communication skills to join our team as an In-House Accountant. In this capacity, you will autonomously oversee all accounting functions, encompassing journal entries and the preparation of financial reports, thereby ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial data. Your proficiency in articulating complex financial concepts to both internal and external stakeholders will be essential for success in this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manage Financial Forecasting and Adjustments: Coordinate forecast updates and make necessary adjustments based on company performance.
2. Bookkeeping and Financial Entries: Perform all bookkeeping tasks, including journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, and managing QuickBooks.
3. Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts such as bank accounts and credit card statements to ensure accuracy.
4. Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports and statements, providing insights into the company’s financial standing.
5. Ad Hoc Financial Tasks: Assist with additional finance-related duties, including tax preparation, audit support, and compliance-related tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage but not required.
• Proven experience as an accountant or bookkeeper, with proficiency in QuickBooks.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication skills to explain financial data and strategies clearly to all stakeholders.
• Ability to handle all aspects of bookkeeping, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial report preparation.
• Ability to work independently and manage financial operations remotely.
• Experience working in a remote environment is a plus.
