We’re looking for a highly experienced Australian accountant with a deep understanding of Australian tax laws (BAS, GST, PAYG, Super, etc.) who has also worked with US-based companies in the past. The ideal candidate is confident in using Xero and QuickBooks Online, can manage full-cycle accounting, and is comfortable preparing financials under both Australian and US standards.
What You’ll Do
- Handle bookkeeping and full-cycle accounting primarily for Australian clients
- Prepare and lodge BAS, GST, PAYG, Superannuation, and assist with other AU tax compliance tasks
- Maintain general ledgers, perform reconciliations, and manage accounts payable/receivable
- Support year-end processes and coordinate with Australian tax agents and auditors
- Occasionally assist with US-based clients—month-end close, financial reports, and US GAAP compliance
- Use tools like Xero, QuickBooks, and other cloud-based accounting platforms
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Australian accounting and tax compliance
- Working knowledge of BAS, GST, PAYG, Super, and payroll processes
- Hands-on experience with US accounting standards (US GAAP) in a previous role
- Proficient in Xero and QuickBooks Online
- CPA preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
