The role:
An Architectural 3D Modeler specializes in creating new and existing 3D models of residential homes.

Key Responsibilities of an Architectural 3D Modeler:
1. 3D Modeling (Must have!):
o Creating accurate 3D models of buildings, landscapes, interiors, and other architectural elements using Chief Architect software
o Taking as-built sketches and pictures and turning them into a 3D accurate model
o Troubleshooting and fixing up models (Foundations, floors, roofs, terrain, etc)
2. Collaboration with Architects and Designers:
o Working closely with architects, designers, and engineers to understand the project's requirements and provide technical expertise on the visual representation of the design.
3. Rendering:
o Producing high-quality renderings of the 3D models to showcase realistic images of the design, including textures, lighting, and shadow effects.
4. Visualization & Presentations:
o Preparing presentations, walkthroughs, and fly-through animations of the 3D models to help clients and stakeholders better understand the design.
5. Revisions and Updates:
o Modifying and refining models based on feedback, ensuring the final product meets the required specifications and expectations.
6. Material and Texture Application:
o Applying materials and textures to the 3D models to make them appear realistic and closely resemble the finished project.
7. Problem-Solving:
o Addressing challenges related to geometry, lighting, scale, or design during the modeling process, ensuring accuracy and feasibility..
8. Staying Current:
o Keeping up-to-date with new software tools, modeling techniques, and industry trends to improve efficiency and creativity.


Requirements

• Educational Background
o A degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Interior Design, or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in 3D Modeling Software
o Proficiency in Chief Architect Premier software
o Ability to create magnificent 3D models and renders
o Efficient troubleshooting of 3D model challenges
• Strong Understanding of Architectural Design
o Knowledge of architectural terminology, principles, and construction techniques is critical.
o Familiarity with building codes and regulations to ensure models adhere to legal standards.
o Ability to interpret blueprints, sketches, and design concepts to accurately represent them in 3D.
• Attention to Detail
o An eye for accuracy in terms of scale, proportions, and materials.
o Precision in modeling and rendering to achieve high-quality, realistic representations.
• Visualization Skills
o Ability to create compelling visualizations that convey the look and feel of the final product.
o Proficiency in creating rendered images, walkthrough animations, and virtual tours to help clients and stakeholders visualize the design.
• Communication
o Clear communication skills to present ideas, models, and revisions effectively to clients or team members.
• Time Management and Organizational Skills
o Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of work.
o Efficient in managing project timelines and meeting deadlines.
