• I am a UX Researcher turned home-based Mompreneur during the pandemic, a time when I had to prioritize life over my corporate career — specifically, the life of my first newborn, and my late mother who had a terminal illness.

• I am now running a registered Design & Printing Studio with my husband. If given the chance to go back to the corporate world, my preferred setup will be work from home or hybrid since I am now residing with my family in the province.

• Even outside the corporate world, I kept myself updated with UX trends by reading articles and watching video tutorials, following UXR online groups, and being an active member of crypto/NFT communities where I am often asked to provide user feedback about the team’s projects.

• Being a Social Science graduate, I have always enjoyed observing human behavior as basis for proposing improvements that would benefit both the business and the customer.

• I have worked as a Billing Consultant, Research Associate, Freelance Consultant, Marketing Research Officer, and a UX / Design Researcher for Globe Telecom.

• Sample research methods used include face-to-face and remote interviews, usability lab studies, guerilla testing, contextual inquiry, shadowing, card sorting, participatory design, focus group discussions, ethnographic field studies, online surveys

• But no matter what method is used, what is important is to have Customer Empathy, while balancing user needs with business needs
